Katie McClanahan is a wife, mother, and proud Little Rock native whose life changed forever after a massive tree fell onto her home, leaving her critically injured and trapped beneath the fallen tree for several hours. Thanks to the extraordinary efforts of first responders, trauma surgeons, and lifesaving blood transfusions, she survived an accident that many believed she wouldn't.

Today, Katie is passionate about sharing her story to raise awareness about the critical need for blood donations and to advocate for expanding access to prehospital blood transfusions. Katie hopes to inspire others to become blood donors and support initiatives that save lives before patients ever reach the hospital.
